Patriot Paws Golf Tourney Helps Build Facility for Wounded Veterans
The Dallas BA has begun work on a very ambitious project for Patriot Paws. Patriot Paws is a Rockwall-based charity that pairs service dogs with wounded veterans of our Armed Forces providing them with much-needed companionship and independence.
Specifically, the home the Dallas BA is building on the Patriot Paws property will be used to house veterans during the two weeks needed to get acquainted with and train alongside their new four-legged friend. Having a place for them to stay on site not only is convenient, it saves the veteran thousands in hotel costs.
In order to raise funds needed for this build, a golf tournament is being held on Tuesday, May 15 at Firewheel Golf Park (Old and Lakes) with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m.
