Once an independent city just across the Trinity River and southwest of downtown, much of the city’s southern sector has come to be known by the name “Oak Cliff.” Within this zone sit a diverse array of neighborhoods some more troubled than others, some too long ignored by City Hall, others among the trendiest in Dallas and attracting residents committed to making them even better.
