Lucas
Located eight miles east of U.S. Highway 75 in southeast Collin County, Lucas has a total area of 11.73 square miles including both land and water. Gabriel H. Lucas who opened a store there in 1870. With the growth of the Dallas area, several housing developments have transformed Lucas from a farming community to a rural suburb. The “exemplary†rated Lovejoy ISD has and will continue to be a major catalyst for Lucas’s recent growth.
