Home of the Week: Texas Triad Homes
Recently Texas Triad Homes, led by Michael Shelton, had the pleasure of helping an amazing, Richardson area family. They are a family of five and were faced with a common dilemma, find a bigger house in a red-hot sellers market, or add-on to their current home. After helping the family search for a month, they decided to make an offer and went under contract on a home in Canyon Creek, a few blocks away from their current home. Their new house needed work and a personal touch, but it was significantly larger at 2700 square feet. Texas Triad was able to help them find and close on this home, as well as, take care of all the remodeling in the newly purchased home!
However, before the new house could be their forever home, a large remodel was necessary that put a high priority on function as well as form. For instance, after moving the laundry room and dining area to a more suitable location in the home, Texas Triad was able to create a fifth bedroom. Furthermore, the team was able to take part of the three-car garage and use the space to accommodate 300 extra square feet of living space, taking their house from 2700 to 3,000 square feet.
They continued the design process to update the house by partnering with Elizabeth Ryan Interiors as she helped the family pick out all the gorgeous finishes in the home. The customer also enjoyed choosing stainless steel appliances to fit their needs. The large, gray cabinet pantry is the focal point of the stunning kitchen. It perfectly ties in all the elements of this space, including the grey built in dining area that flows nicely off of the kitchen. From the day this family closed on the property to the day they moved in, the project took about 100 days.
Now that the home has been opened up, updated, and all finishing touches applied, this wonderful family is settled in and enjoying living here!
