Home of the Week: RPCD, Inc.
The Dallas Builders Association has chosen this Industrial Contemporary home, built by RPCD, Inc, as the Home of the Week. Collaboratively designed by Mark Berry and Cathy Koonsman, this home is custom from top to bottom. Nestled in the unique, quiet neighborhood of Turtle Creek Park, it truly shines.
Standing at 5,600 square feet, this soft contemporary beauty features a chef ready kitchen that opens to a bright and welcoming family room. Disappearing floor to ceiling windows flood the room with natural light and encourage guests to come in and sit for a while. A formal living room and bar has ample sunlight, leathered marble countertops, and hand rift, white oak, built-ins that add to the sleek look. The dining room features a 400-bottle custom acrylic wine cellar with limestone and a beautiful limestone fireplace. A custom in-house woodshop finishes off the first floor.
The second floor is separated for complete privacy in the master suite. The open staircase leads you up to the master floor, where you will find a workout room complete with floor-to-ceiling mirrors. The beautiful master bedroom feels like a tree house in the heart of Dallas. This room features a balcony overlooking the pool, high, vaulted ceilings, and hand-rift hardwood floors. Attached is the spa-like master bathroom. Custom dual sink vanities, a walk-in shower with two showerheads and a rain head, a freestanding air tub, and a fireplace make you never want to leave! The master closet features a separate washer and dryer for convenience.
On the other side of the home is a staircase leading up to the second floor with two guest suites and a bunk room. The aptly named “grandbaby loft†is a cozy space nestled under the roofline. Built-in bunk beds make this the perfect spot for children to play. Two guest suites with custom ensuite bathrooms play up the charm and originality of this creative home.
The exterior of the home is just as impressive as the interior. Sitting on a handsome ravine, this lush lot has plenty to look at. From the infinity edge pool to the numerous outdoor seating options, this home has it all.
