Home of the Week: Beaver Builders

The Dallas Builders Association this week is featuring Beaver Builders, which is currently in the construction phase of a country ranch style home in the Estates on the Ridge in Rockwall County.  The home layout utilizes a single living plan with a second floor future bonus area situated over the three-car garage.  The orientation of the home allows for family activities from the inside to outside living areas with all major spaces having a view and access to the outdoor living/swimming area.

The main living spaces of the home are designed to offer many amenities for entertaining. An open floor plan with the family, kitchen and dining areas under 12-foot ceilings create a voluminous space for interacting with friends and family.  The open kitchen is a chef’s dream with large appliances, an oversized island for preparing and serving and view to the outdoor entertainment area.  The large game room offers a full butler’s pantry and a back wall of glass windows with a view to the acreage in the back forty.

Family time is addressed to allow for private time interacting.  Master bathroom is accessed through French doors off the owner’s retreat.  The owners also have direct access to the utility room from the owner’s closet.  The kids have a special area of their own directly off their bedrooms, including a study area accessed through French doors off the play area.  There is even a room set up with a fully accessible bathroom for family and friends with special needs.

Overall, the home is just over 6,300 square feet with four bedrooms, three full baths and two living areas.

Beaver Builders is a division of family-owned Mack Professionals. President and CEO Donny Mack in September was awarded the Hugh Prather Trophy, the highest honor bestowed by the Dallas Builders Association. It is given annually to the builder member who has done the most for the betterment of the community and the industry.

Mack has served as president of the Dallas BA in 2008. He holds several professional certifications and has been honored as Graduate Master Builder of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). He served as the Builder Captain for the Association’s HomeAid project to build a facility for victims of domestic abuse for the Denton County Friends of the Family.

He also assisted the Denton ISD in the design and criteria for the LeGrone Advanced Technology Complex, a state-of-the-art technology center. Mack built an energy efficient ICF home and donated net proceeds to the Technology Complex.
