Dallas BA Donates $8,000 to Collin College Excellence Fund
Despite the challenges of the past year, the Dallas BA continued its efforts to support the construction management program at Collin College. The program, along with others including HVAC, electric, plumbing and safety, just completed their first school year in the college’s beautiful new Technical Campus in Allen.
The Association was able to present an $8,000 check to Collin College’s Excellence Fund on Wednesday, June 2. The Excellence Fund assists students who encounter financial hardships providing them with aid necessary to keep them on track for a construction-centric degree. Proceeds were raised through member donations and by the Dallas BA’s Young Professionals Committee that recently held a bowling tournament to benefit the fund.
“Collin College students are the future of our industry,” said Dallas BA Executive Officer Phil Crone. “An investment in their future directly enriches our future as many of these students are employed by Dallas BA members.”
The Association has pledged its continued support to Collin College students and hopes to make another donation in the near future. Members interested in contributing can do so online via this link.
